Healing - how we view it, how we accept it and how we integrate it, is multi-layered and can sometimes seem counterintuitive or even contradictory to what we have learned throughout our lives.
As we give ourselves permission to sense into what healing means for us, we sometimes notice our perspective changes, often more than once, over time.
I have found over the decades that the less we resist our symptoms and try to push them away, the more easily they heal. This does not mean we are complacent or that we do not attend to our bodies thoughtfully and with care. Rather, it means we have a healthy diet, we maintain good sleep habits, we keep our air as clean as possible and we pay as much attention to our spiritual growth and emotions as we do our physical health.
Healing, on one hand, means healthy living, in the broadest of terms. It also means that we recognize it is of Mystery, showing up in ways we cannot always anticipate and understand intellectually. Most of all, it means surrendering to that which is outside of our control, while doing what we can to care for our Selves, on all levels.
