“Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions.” Albert Einstein
I’ve been thinking about how this plays out in my life.
Even if a thought does not originate in my own imagination, that is always the launching point.
Sometimes, after reading or hearing about something, a seed is planted and I realize it would useful to address this for my own growth and evolution.
When I consider how things actually unfold, I recognize three overlapping stages.
First is seeing it clearly in my imagination. Expanding how I view the colors, feel the textures, and sense how it feels, in my body and emotionally. Noticing fragrances or aromas that may be part of it. All of this is present in all phases.
Second is wanting it - passionately. This is what I call the “willing myself" phase.
It's the combination of energetic focus, intentional presence and emotional intensity. This “willing myself” phase also remains constant.
And finally, there is doing something to make it happen.
